The White House Recognizes DMV.ORG’s Commitment to Organ Donation Registration

DMV.ORG partners with ORGANIZE to register 1 million new organ donors

ENCINITAS, CA--(June 13th, 2016) - DMV.ORG, the nation's largest independent resource for DMV-related information and services, announced today that the White House is recognizing DMV.ORG's commitment to significantly reduce the organ donation wait list when it releases its annual Fact Sheet. In partnership with ORGANIZE, DMV.ORG will join efforts to register 1 million new organ donors by autumn of 2016.

DMV.ORG launched its first organ donation page in March 2011 as a way to support the cause. In May 2016, DMV.ORG formed a partnership with ORGANIZE, a non-profit that makes the organ donation process easier to assist the 121,000 Americans still waiting for organs. ORGANIZE created the first-ever Central Donor Registry, an online registration tool that makes organ donation simple.

Bob Kurilko, President & Chief Operating Officer at DMV.ORG, said, “One of our core principles is to be a model for how businesses can do more to support society—to be more ethical, transparent, socially and environmentally responsible, and truly work to do good while doing good business. Organ donation is one important way we do that."

“Our team is determined to make a difference in the world," said Kelli Jensen, Impact Program Manager. She added, “We show our commitment to ORGANIZE and organ donation by leveraging our talent and online presence to create awareness and encourage organ donation registration. This is a full company effort for us—we're writing content around the topic, building relationships, and tracking the metrics. We are proud to partner with ORGANIZE around the common goal of saving lives."
