Bill of Sale Requirements in Montana

MT Bill of Sale

In Montana, a bill of sale is not required for most sales transactions of vehicles. However, even when one is not required, it is still highly recommended that a bill of sale is completed to protect both the buyer and the seller. The bill of sale can help to provide a record of the transaction acting as a proof of purchase and proof of a release of liability.
