COVID-19 Effects on Licensing & Registration Services
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Georgia DDS has issued a 120-day extension for all expiring licenses and ID cards belonging to residents aged 60 and older, and is suspending all road testing until further notice. All Customer Service Centers are CLOSED to the general public—the DDS will be servicing limited CDL appointments ONLY. If possible, residents should use the DDS' online services or the MVD's online services to complete any relevant transactions. Follow the DDS' recent updates and the DOR's updates for the latest information.
