Salesperson License in Georgia
Georgia does not require a vehicle salesperson license. The qualifications you will need will vary with each dealership. To get started on your way to becoming a successful salesperson, you can start by learning from Georgia experts at the Georgia Independent Automobile Dealers Association (GIADA) website. You can also be informed about the national dealership industry at the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA).
When Hired
To authorize any employee, including salespersons, dealers must complete a Dealer, Distributor, Manufacturer and Transporter Tag Request (Form MV-6D). Dealers must include the employee's name (as shown on Georgia license or ID card), signature, and job title.
