    Call your county treasurer regarding registering a moped or scooter, and hope for the best. This is the Wyoming Department of Transportation's (WYDOT) unsolved mystery: no hard answers, only guesses.

    The problem stems not from the county treasurers, but from Wyoming's woefully outdated Motor Vehicle statutes. It has not kept pace with the times. But this, according to several county treasurers, is about to change. Plans are in the works for the state's legislature to begin updating Wyoming's Motor Vehicle statutes in 2008.
