Changing Your Name in Wyoming

Notify WYDOT
If you change your name due to marriage, divorce, adoption or even artistic yearning, Wyoming's Department of Transportation (WYDOT) wants to know fast. WYDOT mandates that you must file within 10 days of changing your name.
Changing Your Name on a License
This must be done in person at any Wyoming examination station. Bring legal proof of your name change (divorce decree, marriage certificate, etc.) and either cash or check to pay a $15 fee.
An updated Social Security card, reflecting your name change, is not required.
Changing Your Name on Registration and Title
Before you can change your name on your registration, you must first name-amend your title. If you're changing your name due to divorce both you and your former spouse must sign-off on the title before a notary public. Bring this title into your county clerk's office, along with the divorce decree and cash or check, to pay a $9 fee.
If your name changed due to other reasons (marriage, adoption, etc.) bring all official documents to your county clerk's office along with the ability to pay a $9 fee.
Once your title is amended bring it to your county treasurer's office along with cash or check to pay a $4 registration replacement fee.
