DMV Employment

All job postings for employment with the DMV in West Virginia, including internal resources and external sites, summer employment and summer internships, other special postings and all job classifications can be found on the official WV Department of Transportation Web site.

Requirements and Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for an internal posting, you must be a current or former permanent-status employee. If a sufficient number of eligible current or former employee applications isn't reached, certification of eligible candidates from the appropriate West Virginia Division of Personnel competitive eligibles list may be requested. They will then hire from the top 10 or the 90th percentile of available names.

Application Process

First, you'll need to download the Application for Examination. If you are listing more than six previously-held jobs, you will need to download the Employment History Supplement also.
