DMV Office Locations

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) handles all driving-related matters, covering areas such as registration, titling, driver licensing, vehicle inspections, and the issuance of license plates and state identification cards.

Take care of your DMV business at one of the service offices located throughout the district. You may also register to vote, or become an organ donor here. However, all motorists should be mindful of the DMV's emergency schedule.

Appointments

The DMV allows you to make an appointment for your driving test online, or by calling the DMV customer service center at (202) 727-5000.

Commercial drivers may schedule an appointment for their road testing by calling (202) 727-5000 between 8:15 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
