South Dakota's Available Manuals

South Dakota has a variety of manuals available covering many subjects. Some of these manuals―such as the driver, motorcycle, and commercial driver types― may be available at your nearest exam station. For others, it may just be easier to download them. If you do this, however, be forewarned: Some of the manuals are quite lengthy.
To view and print any of the manuals, you'll need to download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader (7.0 or higher) from the Adobe website.

The Motor Vehicles Division also has an assortment of brochures, covering topics such as parking for the disabled, fuel tax refund programs, and incentives for motor vehicle dealers, available online that you might find useful.
Also, please note that we discuss the commercial, driver, and motorcycle manuals in more detail in separate sections on DMV.org.
