Driver Handbook
This fully narrated supplemental drivers ed program will help will provide first-time drivers a comprehensive understanding of rules of the road, state laws, driving techniques and much more. Although this course does not satisfy your Pennsylvania drivers education requirements, this course is a great way for a first-time driver to get prepared for their upcoming learner's permit test.
This course includes six hours of full driver ed training giving the student a full multimedia learning experience. The student will have access to eight of the premier driver education videos and, finally, the student will test his or her knowledge with three permit practice tests. Once completed, the student will be ready to pass his or her test with flying colors.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) driver manuals act as your prime source for preparing for the state's various written licensing exams. It's also smart to read the driver handbook when you relocate to Pennsylvania, or if it's been years since you took driver's ed―laws are different from state to state, and they change over time.
Pennsylvania Driver's Manual
PennDOT offers its driver's manual in English and Spanish. Both contain 70 pages of Grade-A information that includes topics such as junior driver license information, child restraints, drinking and driving, test information, how to negotiate curves, highway safety, rules of the road, and organ donor information.
Commercial Driver's Manual
This manual, too, is offered in English and in Spanish. It offers 13 sections diving into subjects like driving safety, air brakes, tank vehicles, hazardous materials, and what to expect on the pretrip vehicle inspection test.
Motorcycle Manual
You can read this in English or Spanish. The motorcycle manual provides 41 pages of first-rate information on mirror use, proper posture while riding, passing, navigating slick roads, clothing, and several sample written test questions.

All the manuals can be downloaded in PDF format and viewed using Adobe's free Reader software. You can also get any of these manuals from you local Driver and Vehicle Service Center.
