Registration Renewals

Renewing your vehicle registration in Oklahoma is fairly easy. The state mails out renewal notices, but you don't need it to renew, and it is not an excuse for being late if you don't receive one. Just drop by your local tag office with your driver's license, proof of insurance, and appropriate fees and the renewal will be issued.
By Mail
You can also renew your registration by mail; be sure to allow enough time for processing so you're not late for renewal. Your renewal card will list the amount due; if you didn't receive a card, call your local tag office for the total.
Write a letter requesting a renewal, with the complete vehicle identification information including VIN and tag number, proof of insurance, and a check or money order made payable to the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Mail everything to the address on your renewal card or your local tag office.
Beware Late Renewals
If you haven't renewed your registration by one month after the month it expires, the OTC will assess late registration renewal penalties.
