How do I renew my Oklahoma driver's license?

You can renew your driver's license at any local tag agent's office.

If you are currently living temporarily outside of Oklahoma, you may renew your Class D (regular automobile) Oklahoma driver's license by mail, even if it has expired, as long as it is within three years of the expiration date. Check out Renewing Your License for further details.

What are the differences between Class A, B, C, and D driver's license?

Class A, B and C are commercial driver's license. Class D covers regular automobiles and passenger trucks.

Please keep in mind that if you drive a passenger truck that requires hazardous materials placards, you must have a Class A commercial license.

Yes. You must qualify for a motorcycle endorsement in order to legally operate a motorcycle on Oklahoma streets, highways, roads, and turnpikes.

I just got married and changed my name. How do I get a new licensed issued tome with my new name?

If you need a replacement Oklahoma driver's license because of a name change, you will need to bring documentation of both your legal name (former name), and your new name. Here are the acceptable forms of ID for a change of name in Oklahoma:

  • Divorce, adoption or name change decree.
  • Establishment of record of birth.
  • Marriage License (as a secondary ID).
  • Affidavit of Common Law Marriage.
