Commercial Drivers
Commercial drivers employed in the transportation industry keep the wheels of commerce turning across Oklahoma. It is the Oklahoma DPS that issues commercial driver's licenses (CDL) in Oklahoma.
The renewal of CDLs is also uder the jurisdiction of the DPS. And, if you ever lose your Oklahoma CDL or have it stolen, you can order a replacement through the DPS.
In addition to the issuance of commercial driver's licenses, the Oklahoma DPS also takes on the responsibility setting the educational requirements for those who drive commercial vehicles in Oklahoma. States must meet minimum federal guidelines regarding education and eligibility standards, but Oklahoma determines additional requirements as well.
