You'll receive a new license after paying the $24.50 fee.
If your divorce decree shows your new name, you must provide an updated Social Security card reflecting your name change. To first change your name with the Social Security Administration (SSA), visit the agency's site. Give the agency at least 48 hours to process your request.

You'll be issued a replacement registration for a $4.50 fee.
Title
With titles, you're stuck with your previous name if the change is due to a marriage, divorce, or court proceeding. Instead, you'll have to wait to change the information until a new title has been issued due to a transfer of ownership of the vehicle.
