RV & Motorhome Registration in New YorkThe Department of Motor Vehicles requires travel trailers and motorhomes to be inspected and registered just like any other passenger vehicle in New York. The New York DMV charges registration fees based on the weight of the vehicle. Since the weight of your RV is likely to far exceed the maximum weight listed on the DMV's registration fee schedule, expect to pay at least the maximum $140 registration fee listed there.
