Appointments
New York's DMV gives you two convenient options for scheduling an appointment for a road test. You may call (518) 402-2100, or you may do it online. This works for commercial road testing, as well.
If your vehicle needs to have a salvage inspection completed, the DMV will assign you an appointment. However, you may change or cancel the appointment by e-mailing dficancel@dmv.state.ny.us or by calling (518) 486-6560.
Safety and emissions tests are also available by appointment by contacting an Official Inspection Station.
