DMV Employment

If you've always dreamed of a career with the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, the state has made it easy to find the ideal position. Simply check out the Employment Opportunities page on the main Nevada DMV site to see what's available.
What You'll Find
The DMV keeps an updated list of current openings that are available to all qualified applicants, and another list of advancement opportunities available only to those already employed by the DMV. When you find a vacancy you're interested in, click on it to see pertinent details like approximate salary, application closing date, location, job description, basic and special requirements, and application procedures.
Applying for a DMV Job
Once you have a specific position in mind, download the official State of Nevada Employment Application―or even more convenient, you can fill the form out online (read how). The official state application is required for all applicants; a resume will not be accepted in its place.
Where to Submit Your Application
The submission details will vary depending on the job you're applying for. You can find that information at the bottom of the detailed job description for each position. Be sure to first read the list of tips and hints about applying for a state job.
For other state jobs outside of the DMV, visit the Hot Jobs page at the Nevada Department of Personnel Web site.
