Unrestricted License

You must have at least 20/40 vision in one eye, with or without glasses.

Restricted License

You must have at least 20/50 vision in at least one eye.

Top Hearing

There are no driving restrictions for deaf or hearing-impaired drivers.

Top Seizures

Montana has no seizure-free timetable.

If you answer on your driver license application or license renewal form that you suffer from a medical condition that may cause seizures, blackouts, or loss of consciousness, you must provide the date when this condition last occurred and have your doctor complete a medical evaluation form. The Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) will then decide whether to issue you a license based on your doctor's report.

Top Aging Drivers

Once you reach 75, you must renew your license every four years.
