If you're interested in advancing your career, a job at the Missouri Department of Revenue (DOR) might be the right choice for you.

For your convenience, Motor Vehicle Bureau and Driver Licensing Division job listings are posted on the Missouri Department of Revenue Web site. Each listing describes the position's daily responsibilities, monthly salary, and the minimum necessary qualifications.

Job opportunities at the Missouri DOR are posted for five business days. Next to each advertised opening is the application closing date.

Applying for a Position

If you see an opening that meets your qualifications, you'll need to complete an online application before being considered for the position. If you wish to apply for more than one position, you'll need to complete one application and an "Apply for Vacancy" form for each additional job opportunity. Applicants with active applications are not automatically considered for vacant positions.

What Happens After I Submit an Application?

After you complete your Missouri DMV job application, the appropriate department will notify you if you've been selected for an interview. However, before you'll be able to begin employment, the DOR will:

  • Verify that you've paid all of your state taxes for the past five years
  • Verify that you don't owe any money in fees or penalties to the Missouri Department of Revenue
  • Conduct a criminal background check

Employee Benefits

As state employees, DOR staff members enjoy a comprehensive benefits package. Life insurance, medical plans, pharmacy plans, and retirement savings plans are offered to all employees. In addition, staff members enjoy paid vacations, direct deposit of monthly paychecks, and access to counseling services provided through the state's employee assistance program.

To learn more about the benefits available to Missouri employees, please visit the Missouri Department of Revenue Web site.
