The Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission (LMVC) is responsible for all licensing, investigations, dispute mediations, audits, and regulations related to motor vehicle dealers and dealerships.

You'll need to renew your dealer license when it expires.
If you decide to change locations, you must notify the LMVC before the move. If you decide to stop doing business, you must notify the LMVC.
In order to become a motor vehicle salesman/agent in Louisiana, you must also become licensed.
Along with the $75 fee, you may need to submit any documents pertaining to debt waivers or debt forgiveness. Obtain this information from your motor vehicle dealer.
