Kentucky Driver Manual
The Kentucky Driver Manual, prepared by the Kentucky State Police is close to being the only reference you'll need for all your driver licensing questions. You can pick up a copy at your local driver licensing field office, or download it in PDF format. (Obtain a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader to access PDF documents.)
Remember, the manual isn't just handy for new drivers; all drivers can benefit from the wealth of information included in the manual.
For those with a dial-up Internet connection, the DDL has broken the manual into five sections for speedier access.

- Covers commercial driver licenses, road rules, traffic signals, signs, lights, parking, vision, communicating with other drivers, speed adjustment, etc.
- Covers sharing the road, sharing space, emergency situations, protecting yourself and others, etc.
- Covers motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles, trail bikes, ATVs, physical and mental condition of the driver, etc.
- Covers license suspension/revocation, vehicle condition, donating organs, protecting and maintaining your license, important Web sites and phone numbers, etc.
