Lost your vehicle title? Even though it's an important document, titles unfortunately get misplaced all the time.

The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) license agency provides a variety of way to get your replacement title. All you need to remember to do is make sure you have an unexpired photo ID handy.

    Approved IDs include:

    • driver's license.
    • state-issued ID.
    • school ID.
    • military ID.
    • bank card.
    • passport.
    • probation card.
    • work ID.
    • membership card.

Also, bring something that will identify the vehicle, such as a registration card or the vehicle identification number (VIN). If there's a lien on the vehicle, you will need to present a completed release form from the lienholder.
