We've tried to cover all the necessary information that you'll need to have in our various driving sections. However, we realize that you might still have some questions. So, we thought we'd steer you to a few places where you might find some answers.

For starters, try visiting the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles home page. You will find a list of topics on the left-hand side. You can just pick and chose from the topics listed. Or, you can enter a topic or keywords in the search box located at the top of the page.

If you already have a driver's license, you still have to drive safely. Our Tickets and Traffic School section covers more specific information on traffic tickets, paying them, license suspensions, traffic school, and driving defensively. Or perhaps you're ready to buy a vehicle, or to title and register it.

You might also visit the state's
Frequently Asked Question page concerning driver licenses and related topics. You'll find anything covered here from how to change your address to applying for a license with a foreign license.

If you're interested in information concerning teen drivers, the state has a special section devoted to that. You'll find articles on topics such as how to obtain a learner's permit, driver education, tips for parents, plus other information.

Also, everyone younger than 18 applying for a license or permit needs to have a parent or legal guardian sign a financial responsibility agreement. The signer agrees to take all legal responsibility for whatever damage or injury the teen driver may cause. The link will take you to the section that the state provides on this, including complete information on who may sign the agreement, and how to terminate it.

If you're new to the Hoosier state, the BMV has a section devoted to your needs, including steps on how to get your Indiana license. At DMV.org, we also have a New to your State section on our site.

You might also want to visit our History of DMV page, which gives more details on the BMV, including hours of operation of branches and other useful information.
