BMV Office Locations

The Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) handles everything to do with driving, like license issuance and renewals, vehicle registration and titling, and license plates.

All of these transactions take place at the BMV license agencies scattered throughout the Hoosier state. You may even sign up to vote or become an organ donor at these locations.

Before you go in, view the current wait time at each branch.

Full-service branches are open weekly on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m., Wednesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Dealer and Fleet Service Locations

These locations cater to dealer and fleet customers by providing drop-off and walk-in services. However, most license branches offer dealer and fleet
services.

Reinstatement Centers

Reinstate a suspended licenses at one of these locations. Driving records may also be purchased here.

Need to renew your registration or license plates? Use a self-service terminal.

Motorcycle Road Test Sites

American Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE) of Indiana conducts all motorcycle license road testing at one of its testing locations.

Appointments

Call a local BMV branch to schedule a driving test appointment.

For a commercial license driving test, make an appointment by calling a third-party testing site.

Verbal CDL testing is available by appointment on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at select BMV locations.

The Beech Grove, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood, Plainfield, and Indianapolis - South Meridian branches offer appointments for a wide variety of BMV services, including driver license renewals, vehicle registrations, and titling.

Note: Starting December 20, 2007 you can make an appointment online. You'll be able to schedule up to five transactions per appointment (lasting a maximum of 30 minutes). Appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
