The Idaho Division of Motor Vehicles (ID DMV) offers downloadable manuals that are easy to comprehend. You will need the free Adobe Reader to download and read PDF files.

- Idaho Driver's Manual: In addition to both English and Spanish print and downloadable versions, various audio formats are available for the English version.
If you need to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL), you will find there are a slew of requirements you must fulfill before applying. To get the ball rolling, download a PDF version of the Commercial Driver's License Manual. It is also available in Spanish.
Keep in mind that the above-mentioned manuals are typically large files (50 or more pages). If you'd prefer not to download them to your computer, locate the nearest driver's license office and pick them up in person.
