The Idaho Department of Labor maintains an online jobsite. It provides access to more than 20,000 openings statewide. Job openings are posted in nearly 9,000 listings and are updated on a regular basis.

You'll find it is the quickest and easiest way to search for your next place of employment, including the Division of Motor Vehicles and other state agencies. The system is rather straightforward, but if you run into problems, there are help buttons strewn through the site. Or, if needed, you can e-mail the Department of Labor at www@labor.idaho.gov.

Top Getting Started: Registration

When you first register with the system, you will be asked about your citizenship. Government jobs are available for U.S. citizens as well as for authorized aliens. If the latter describes you, you must also provide your Alien Authorization number. Otherwise, you'll need to submit your Social Security number.

Once you correctly enter your number, you will be asked to create a four-number PIN (or personal identification number). Together with either your Alien Authorization number or your Social Security number, these numbers will act as your identification in the system. If you run into trouble regarding either, you can contact your local Department of Labor office.

As you continue registering, the site will then ask you for contact information and work history. So before you get started, be sure you are prepared with such information.
