Obtaining Handbooks and Manuals
Doing business with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) and its divisions can seem daunting if you don't have all the information you need. The sheer number of services and forms alone has given even the most intrepid applicant a headache.
But there's really no need to reach for the aspirin; the Florida DMV has made available a huge amount of information about its services and requirements, all neatly organized into a range of manuals and handbooks.
You can pick up any of these manuals at your local office of the Driver License or Motor Vehicle divisions. Or, you can check them out online. Some are in PDF format; you will need the free Adobe Reader to download and read PDF files.
