Commercial Drivers
Commercial drivers employed in the transportation industry keep the wheels of commerce turning across Florida. It is the Florida DMV that issues commercial driver's licenses (CDL) in Florida.
The renewal of CDLs is also uder the jurisdiction of the DMV. And, if you ever lose your Florida CDL or have it stolen, you can order a replacement through the DMV.
In addition to the issuance of commercial driver's licenses, the Florida DMV also takes on the responsibility setting the educational requirements for those who drive commercial vehicles in Florida. States must meet minimum federal guidelines regarding education and eligibility standards, but Florida determines additional requirements as well.
