Appointments

Set an appointment for driving tests by completing a driver exam appointment application. Then mail the card to the DMV or take it to a DMV office, and the state will assign you an appointment.

To make a CDL road test appointment, call the DMV telephone center at (860) 263-5700 (Hartford area or outside CT only), or (800) 842-8222 (for the rest of CT).

If you need an emissions inspection for your vehicle, contact a testing center and make an appointment.

DMV Office Locations

The Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) oversees the issuance of all driver licenses, and handles all motor vehicle titling and vehicle registration matters, including license plates. The DMV provides a list of its full service and satellite offices. The satellite offices only offer a limited number of services, varying by location.
