Page OverviewWhat is It?
America's Traveler Information Number, 511, is available in Colorado. This handy number allows you to instantly access road conditions throughout the entire state.
How It Works
By dialing 511, you can alert yourself to road and weather conditions, construction reports, road closures, detours, chain restrictions, and even Amber Alerts.
Voice instructions will guide you on how to access information for specific towns, cities and highways.
After several years of hit-or-miss service, 511 is now cell phone-functional.
In addition to 511 the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) still offers its two "traditional" road condition numbers: (303) 639-1111 and (877) 315-ROAD.
