RV & Motorhome Registration in Colorado
When registering a motor home or RV in Colorado, whether for the first time, transferring from out-of-state, or a periodic renewal, the procedures involved are essentially the same as registering any other motor vehicle.
Ultimately the only difference is going to be in the fees paid. Considering the license fee is determined by the empty weight of a vehicle and the fact that many motor homes are large enough to have a zip code, it is going to cost more to own one.
Also, the ownership tax, which is assessed annually rather than a personal property tax, is based on the "new" value of the vehicle. Again, motor homes tend to cost more, thus you will pay more each renewal cycle.
