Accessing the Manuals

Need to study traffic laws, but have no time to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles? The California DMV has publications online. You'll need Adobe's free Reader software to view them. You can also access these handbooks in HTML format (no downloads required) on the California DMV Publications page.

The DMV offers several driver manuals, or handbooks, to help you pass the traffic laws and signs exams:
