Registration Renewals

Arkansas residents have plenty of choices when it comes to renewing their registration and vehicle tags. However, if any information on the registration has changed (other than your address), you only have one option: renewing in person at a revenue office.
Every year, the state will mail you a registration reminder. However, if you don't receive the mailer, you'll still need to renew your registration before it expires.
Registration fees will vary depending on your vehicle type, but the state provides a fee schedule for you to follow.
With all this in mind, let's take a look at your renewal options.
In Person
If you prefer to renew in person, you may do so at a revenue office or at select Wal-Mart locations. Bring your tax assessment, proof of insurance, and current registration card with you to facilitate the process.
To renew by mail, send the appropriate information and payment to:
- Department of Finance & Administration (DFA)
- Office of Motor Vehicle
- P.O. Box 3153
- Little Rock, AR 77203-3153
Phone
Just call (888) 389-8336 to renew your registration by phone.
Online
The STAR online system is a convenient way for Arkansas residents to renew their registration. There is no added charge to do so, and you may pay with a credit card or check. The DFA provides answers to some common online renewal questions. You may also call the department at (888) 389-8336 for assistance.
